J’Accuse of Friday, November 22, 2024 on the arrest warrant of Netanyahu and Gallant of the International Criminal Court. The primacy of law over war and barbarism

we will have the turn of them...

What does the arrest warrant of the International Criminal Court issued yesterday, November 21, make us think about? We have always thought that the entire West had a heavy responsibility in supporting the Israeli reaction to October 7, in providing it with weapons and in covering up in the media and political terms the crimes and barbaric killings of children and women, still ongoing, perpetrated by the Israelis in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon. In truth, the responsibility for the genocide does not fall only on Netanyahu, Gallant and the high officials of the Israeli Army but must also fall on those who covered them in the media and political terms by providing them with the tools to carry out such extermination. This approach would lead us to think that Biden, despite all the efforts made to stop his ally, would also be co-responsible for the genocide. We know well that everyone has contributed to a greater or lesser extent, depending on their abilities in carrying out the genocide. It is like when you investigate the person responsible for a common murder. The person who supplied and covered up the same crime is also accused of complicity. Now the judges of the Criminal Court certainly have an idea of how to proceed, in case Netanyahu and Gallant were arrested one day. Who knows, but Biden himself and other Western leaders could be called into question for co-responsibility in the same proceeding. If justice and international law triumph over barbarism, it will truly be a rebirth for democracy. What we see today in the world is a mere hypocrisy of democracy, painted by its architects to pursue political objectives of restoring Western imperial authority with the suppression of rights and the use of barbarism and genocide. If we want to transfer what we said about the Palestinian genocide to the Ukrainian and Russian ones, all the arguments are valid. The war in Ukraine could have been avoided with dialogue and the non-exasperation of the Ukrainian situation itself, which found itself at the center of NATO and the European Union's interests and was the object of a real political and military operation that led to its invasion by Russia. The responsibility for the war and its continuation with the weapons of Biden and the Europeans falls on those who have never considered the lives and rights of the Ukrainian and Russian peoples. Will we one day recognize the mistakes and serious responsibilities that were never recognized? Trump's return is a signal to Zelensky and the European leaders: the war is useless and continuing it is simply harmful for everyone. In the end, Putin will have won, because Russia has achieved its objectives. But the deaths and the fratricidal war between Ukrainians and Russians will remain an indelible scar. Too bad for Biden and company who never wanted to admit it.
