J’Accuse the day after/ the day after Trump’s inauguration day and the world slipping into the abyss of dreams and illusions of the promised Golden Age

The idea of the “Golden Age” is not new to those of us who have some historical memory. At the end of the Cold War, America attempted to dominate the world after the fall of the Soviet Union and the establishment of a single world order that Washington would structure and lead at its own pleasure and without rivals. The most brilliant economists, then, but in reality they were only the most mediocre, told us that the world would experience a prosperity never seen before and went around shouting their love for the new world order.

But alas, what we have witnessed in all these past decades was a succession of economic and political crises, a suffocation of other people’s aspirations, hopes, freedoms and rights. That entire toxic era called “Globalization of Markets” gave nothing more than misery and global and national upheavals. In fact, it had allowed, and still allows, the enrichment of the few at the expense of the poorest communities and nations on the planet. The same model of economic, industrial and financial development is, and remains, questionable and unjust (aristocratic) because it allows the few rich to increase their wealth simply by clicking on buttons or transferring their capital from one country to another or from one stock to another. It is crazy how the financial economy and social media developed in recent years and closely interconnected to one and the other, have prevailed over that real economy and control it absolutely, thus conditioning the political course of democracies and dictatorships. This is the case of the oligarchy that is now part of the Trumpian magic circle, from Musk, to Zuckerberg, to Besos, Sundar Pichai, all smiling at the nationalistic and anti-democratic proclamations of their radiant president who, in addition to promising them the beginning of a new golden age, launches his anathemas against the poorest of his America, those who live in clandestinity and that normally a large country like his, a bulwark of the virtual and real world economy, must give hope, against neighbors by raising walls and threatening them with annexation, the case of Canada, Panama, Mexico, Greenland, against the Europeans themselves, guilty of being parasites and irresponsible, and in this he is somehow right, but that paradoxically America occupies economically, culturally and militarily, even manages in its first decrees to remove sanctions on Jewish settlers in the West Bank, responsible for the discord and murders of Palestinians. Finally, the funniest thing is that he even manages to set the new frontier of his America: planting the Stars and Stripes flag on Mars. This passage reminds us of the much-commercialized concept of the “American dream”, which, in truth, had allowed America to conquer spaces that belonged to other nations and that gradually became American. The same idea announced by Trump: the Gulf of America instead of the Gulf of Mexico, says a lot about how the alterations to history and the very abandonment of democratic ideas at the expense of nationalistic and nihilistic ones constitute a serious violation of rights and of the same inclusive and egalitarian American democratic identity. All the folklore we have witnessed reminds us of the tragedies caused by the return of nationalism. America has the right to defend its interests but it has the great responsibility of not allowing and approving the injustices and genocides we have witnessed in these decades of the golden age announced at the beginning of the 2000s. If Elon Musk, a friend of Meloni, the only European head of state and government present at Trump's Inauguration Day[1], arrogates to himself the right to give votes and approval to the political courses of European countries by favoring the most extremist parties such as the German AFP, the Alternative for Germany, a neo-Nazi party that promises, just like Trump, to expel all illegal and regular immigrants, in order to purify the country from the presence of other impure races, this is a great alarm signal. Musk, a South African immigrant himself, cannot and does not have the right to interfere in the history of countries just because he owns X or has 7,000 satellites that pollute our space and I repeat our space, because space like the earth, belongs to all nations, each within its borders and each custodian of its history and civilization and do not come to tell us that we must learn from their barbarity. I will not tell you about the dollar because the Golden Age itself is closely linked to the Arab oil with which they print their dollars. Russia and China have the right to compete democratically and fairly with American aspirations. The future will tell us what color Mars will be. Its colonization is an illusory challenge, a waste of time, a distancing from the real problems of the peoples.
